Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day and a new exhibition has opened at the Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace.

  • Honoring the story of seven prominent Holocaust survivors , each was awarded for their contributions to Holocaust awareness and education in recent years.

The Prince of Wales, sponsor of the National Holocaust Remembrance Day Fund, has commissioned seven leading artists to paint portraits as living memories of the 6 million innocent men, women and children who died in the Holocaust, and those stories will never happen. . Th. The deeply moving portrait that will become part of the Royal Collection is a powerful testament to the resilience and extraordinary courage of the survivors.

Throughout the program, we hear testimonies from prominent men and women who were children when they witnessed one of the greatest atrocities in human history and meet the artists involved in their paintings. We attend some sessions and witness the impressive friendship that has been established between the artist and the caretaker for almost two years.

The full portrait, destined for the royal collection, will be unveiled at the Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace. They represent pain and loss, as well as dignity and hope, and serve as a lasting reminder of the horrors that will one day be lost in living memory.
