Landscape Artist of the Year 2022 (Series 7) starts on Wednesday!

The seventh series "Landscape Artist of the Year" (2022) will be shown on Sky Arts on Wednesday 12 January 2022.

  • Free View on Sky Arts (Channel 11) at 8 pm.
  • Or broadcast live via now
This post is for anyone who wants
  • Find out where they were during filming last summer (2021)
  • Looking forward to next year (2023), consider wearing colorful clothes this summer (2022)
  • Repeat some training items from the previous series

Hopefully the coordination is normal.
  • Total 9 episodes (6 qualifiers + semi-finals + final + commission)
  • Same 3 judges, same 2 captains
  • 6 places for ovens
  • 6 or 8 Paddy artists in each series, depending on whether they go back to normal or stay at 6, reached in 2020. Restrictions on their work
  • 4 hours just to paint on the spot marked by the artist, with a capsule assigned to it (unless you rebel, as some have done in the past, and blurry/fuzzy/etc)
  • Joker artists everywhere: numbers adapted to an existing field
  • The winner will receive a commission of £10,000 for a specific venue fee
  • Through their social networks -

In terms of location, unlike Summer 2020, the Summer 2021 shoot went even further!

I haven't yet found print links to the heating site, but others have been found on social media! I found loads of posts about 'people' and obviously the presenters, judges, and production team were on the following places for the champions and also found a list of all the places and dates! :)

So here it is
So only five batteries and you don't? Maybe they didn't buy a good enough ticket?

How is that ......
  • February 3, 2022 - The Final will be held at Levin's Hall . Thank you Catherine Sariyana! It is located south of Kendall in Cumbria, at the entrance to the Lake District National Park. They seem to have had a good sunny day in the gardens where the topiary is located...
  • March 2, 2022: The winners' film is based on a narrow boat trip along the Rochdale Canal , 33 miles between Manchester and Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire, UK.
